Candidate will provide document scanning (unclassified and classified) and perform media logging and labeling for all media formats. Additionally, the Media Migration/Data Processing Specialist is responsible for the following: Preparation of media for destruction using correct procedures; Development of unclassified and classified CDs holding migrated data; Conducting migration of 7, 9, 14 track tapes (unclassified and classified); Conducting multiple media migration using correct procedures and processes (unclassified and classified); Determining priorities, perform local backups, and load scanned documents to mass storage system. Candidate must understand and conduct video processing and migrating older formats to newer formats (DVD). Researching and understanding multiple media formats and migration processes and developing migration processes are functions of this position. Candidate will document and maintain trusted download procedures and information as required.
Candidate is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, administration, operation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation of classified and unclassified MDDC Program systems and networks and associated equipment, devices, and software IAW applicable MDA and DoD guidance, instructions, procedures and processes. Additionally, the Network Management Specialist is responsible for the following: Ensuring IT systems and networks are fully functional for all operational and support activities hosted and serviced by the MDDC Program; Providing essential system and network administration support for servers, network hardware, data storage equipment, hardware and software, software, printers, workstations and other network connected hardware and associated software in support of the MDDC Program for classified and unclassified systems and networks; Working closely with Program Management, Information Assurance, software development team, analysis groups, and end-users to understand and implement requirements necessary to MDDC Program operations and activities; Providing guidance and support with technical expertise, instruction and advice in relation to MDDC Program IT processes and operations based on applicable MDA and DoD security provisions, technical guidance and documented instructions to meet all MDA and customer goals; Establishing and maintaining user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and overall network and system security; Anticipating IT related issues and implements proactive preventive measures; Developing, sustaining and updating documentation for Information Technology processes and procedures; Performing regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries; Maintaining IT databases and performs light programming tasks in relation to system administration needs; Researching, evaluating, and recommending new and emerging IT systems technologies to advance and support MDDC Program requirements. Candidate will serve as the primary contractor point of contact with the Government Contracting Officer, Government Technical Monitor and Government Contracting Officer's Representative. The Project Manager will coordinate all of the work ordered by task orders and is responsible for day-to-day management of overall contract support operations. Candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing all MDDC ad hoc data requests using proper security procedures and guiding users through MDDC and MDA Data Center Program (DCP) registration process. Additional responsibilities include: Coordinating and facilitating data requests using correct procedures; Updating and sustaining the MDDC data request database; Performance of data management plan development, review, and on-site data handling support as required; Providing early test support planning to include coordination with other government programs to ensure that the MDDC processes and procedures are involved upfront and early; Interfacing and collaborating with customers regarding MDDC capabilities and support; Development, execution, and improvement of processes and procedures to promote efficient and effective data handling and reporting; Development of briefings describing MDDC capabilities as well as status briefings to current customers; Performance of electronic data transfers following test events and providing technical writing activities and proof reading data items for correctness as needed for MDDC Program data items. Candidate will assist the Government Security Manager in providing day-to-day security oversight to Data Center operations in all facilities where Data Center operations occur. The Security Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, oversight and maintenance of all processes and procedures IAW with all applicable DOD and MDA security policies and regulations. Policies and procedures will cover all security disciplines but will primarily center on handling, storing, safeguarding, marking, tracking, use of distribution statements, and shipping and receiving of classified and unclassified data. Candidate will execute or ensure all processes and procedures necessary to receive classified data products, confirm markings for accuracy and completeness, maintain security portions of DMS catalog, interpret security guidance and intent for all software development activities as required, assist Librarian personnel, and ensure distributed data is compliant with all appropriate transmission requirements. Additionally, the candidate will provide oversight to the data duplication and media migration process and perform or assist the Government Security Manager with periodic or as directed inventory of all classified holdings. Candidate is responsible for the design, development, testing, verifying, sustaining and fully documenting the internally developed software for the MDDC Program. The Software Development Specialist develops complex software applications involving graphical front-end interfaces, visualization toolsets, and analysis libraries interfacing with multiple databases and external applications to meet MDA and MDDC Program goals and deadlines for test missions and real world events. Responsibilities include: Working with Government, contractor staff and end-users to identify and implement software requirements related to MDDC Program projects in relation to software improvements and issues; Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages; Collaborating with managers and various customers to establish business cases and define system objectives and design specifications; Performing software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software reviews, software risk analysis, and software reliability analysis; Software modeling and simulation; Integration of complex hardware and software systems; Analysis on, and revisions to existing systems to enhance system efficiencies; Evaluating and identifying new technologies for implementation and maintaining software development standards compliance. Candidate may act as a software development team lead and instruct junior developers. Candidate is responsible for software testing and user/system requirements verification/validation processes and procedures for internally developed MDDC Program software. The Software Development Specialist will troubleshoot production problems related to software applications and evaluate implemented requirements in software to determine if these requirements were met in deliverable software. Candidate will consult with Government and Contractor staff, project teams and end users to identify application requirements. The administrative professional will provide assistance with maintaining personnel and other files; prepare correspondence and schedule and coordinate travel. Responsibilities include integrating the graphics generated with automated tools and the deliverable documents; Supporting and executing visitor control/facility access procedures for the Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC); Performing courier duties for data, documents and other information/items as necessary; Performing applicable equipment and supplies procurement processes along with vendor coordination. Additionally, candidate will coordinate MDDC badge requests for MDDC personnel; assist the PM in the preparation of management plans, contract deliverables and various reports; and supply program, contract, and financial management support. Coordinating schedules and meetings to facilitate the PM and contractors is also a function of this position.
Candidate will perform database design, maintenance and implementation activities for all Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC) Program software development and lab infrastructure support capabilities. The Database specialist will work with the Information Technology and Software Development teams in response to requirements for configuration of hardware/software to perform installations, testing, upgrades and deployments, optimization of data storage and capacity planning, database performance and operational efficiencies. Candidate will perform database systems installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and maintenance activities as well as develop database queries, scripts, reports, stored procedures, documentation packages, and processes. Candidate must understand change control and version control testing, processes and procedures and ensure appropriate backup and disaster recovery measures are in place and documented.
Candidate will be responsible for loading and maintaining the mass storage system used for the Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC) disaster recovery system. The specialist will assist with the design and conduct of MDDC disaster recovery test plans, testing, and issues as required. Candidate is responsible for designing, conducting and/or facilitating the efficient and effective multiple media migration to digital format as well as understanding the scope of the Disaster Recovery Effort to include the historical backlog with multiple media types not yet migrated to digital format. Candidate will develop briefings (content) to show MDDC Disaster Recovery Status or Processes or Procedures and must effectively communicate positions in different forums and committees. Additionally, providing effective management and guidance for the Disaster Recovery Effort and Media Migration Efforts, as these two efforts are dependent upon one another, is a function of this position. Candidate will provide expert engineering and/or scientific solutions for highly complex technical and scientific/matters. The Engineer/Scientist/Analyst will provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, technical support representatives and customers who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex problems. Candidate will directly support MDDC Program Information Assurance activities in regards to IA and other Information Architecture security throughout the MDDC Program with respect to multiple locations, multiple security classifications and networks, centralized management/decentralized execution, multiple enterprise applications, and all IA-related documentation and reporting efforts to include Federal Information System Management Act (FISMA) reporting, DoD Information Technology Portfolio Repository (DITPR) and other information assurance assurance-related compliance reporting.
